Pharmacy is a vital health profession that plays a crucial role in the healthcare system, focusing primarily on medicines and their effective use. The B. Pharm course equips students with the knowledge and skills to understand and interpret medical prescriptions, offer guidance to patients, and ensure safe and effective medication use. Duration of Course
The course of study for B. Pharm shall extend over a period of eight semesters/ 4 Years. Each semester consists of not less than 100 working days. For those admitted directly into the III semester (via Lateral Entry), the course of study for B. Pharm course shall extend over a period of six semesters/ 3 Years. The curricula/ syllabus for the program is prescribed from time to time by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi and Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur, Kerala.
Eligibility for Admission
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination conducted by State or Central Government authorities, recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to 10+2, with English as a required subject. They must also have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as optional subjects, achieving at least 50% marks combined in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, as well as 50% marks individually in Mathematics/Biology.
Admission
50% of seats will be filled up through merit as per allotment by the centralized allotment scheme by the government authorities. The norms stipulated in the prospectus of Govt. of Kerala for professional courses will be followed. The rest 50% seats will be filled under management quota. The details given below are applicable for those who wish to apply under the management quota.
